On January 19, 2022, the instrument of accession of the Republic of Belarus to the Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs to the Eurasian Patent Convention was deposited at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva Yury Ambrazevich presented the instrument of accession to the depositary - WIPO Director General Daren Tang.

The Republic of Belarus acceded to the Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs to the Eurasian Patent Convention by the Act of the Republic of Belarus No 137-3, signed by the President of the Republic of Belarus on December 31, 2021.

The Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Belarus, on April 19, 2022, three months after the deposit of the instrument.
