Yesterday the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property (RSAIP) hosted the IV International Conference of Young Scientists "Intellectual Property: Looking Into the Future". Grigory Ivliev, President of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO), delivered a welcoming speech at the opening of the conference.
— The Eurasian Patent Organization is committed to supporting our young scientists, who are the future of the intellectual property, the scientific activity progress and the regional patenting system development, — the EAPO President urged the conference participants. Grigory Ivliev also awarded the best postgraduate student of RSAIP Zhanna Shevyreva (pictured) for the best dissertation of 2022 "Legal regulation of the disposal of exclusive rights" with the EAPO medal "Advancing the Future".
— Advancing the future for us, the EAPO, is not an abstract conversation. Together with RSAIP, we are conducting two important research projects, including the preparation of a draft Eurasian strategy for the development of intellectual property until 2035. We want to look into the future. Together with the people of science, we want to predict what will happen to IP. Therefore, I ask young scientists to join us and contribute to this work as well, — the EAPO President urged the conference participants. EAPO and RSAIP, the basic educational organization of the Commonwealth of Independent States, actively cooperate in the field of education and holding joint events. In April 2022, the parties signed a cooperation agreement and adopted a strategic cooperation plan until 2026. In September of this year, the Office and the Academy jointly organized the First International Eurasian Conference in the field of intellectual property “IP Eurasia”, focused on pharmaceuticals and medicine. The parties also held a number of major educational events with the involvement of EAPO specialists and RSAIP lecturers. In his speech, the EAPO President Grigory Ivliev emphasized more than once that the joint work of the Office and the Academy would be continued. |
