A seminar on Patent Law Treaty (PLT) organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in cooperation with the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan took place on March 5-6, 2019 in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.

The seminar, along with representatives of WIPO and the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was attended by representatives of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO), the Estonian Patent Office, as well as government bodies, universities and patent attorneys of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The seminar covered the PLT provisions, their impact on the procedures of regional and national patent offices. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of these provisions in regional and national legislation. At the end of the seminar an active discussion on the issues took place.

The EAPO representative made a report on National Implementation of PLT Provisions Aiming to Avoid Unintentional Loss of Rights.
